Weekly Update 5.7.21

(Tiz Life pictured as a yearling in Kentucky in July 2019)

Hope everyone is having a great week watching the races as we get geared up for the Preakness next weekend. I thought I'd share an update on the Cres Ran and Crescent Capital horses - nothing major to share, but wanted to provide a weekly update

HOBBY STABLE - CRES RAN LLC

With Oaklawn closing on May 1st, Steve Hobby and the horses were on the move to Churchill Downs on May 2nd. The horses have settled into their summer and fall base and we should have some entries soon. Tiz Life came out of his race on April 30th well and will be pointed to a route race shortly.

CRADDOCK STABLE - CRES RAN LLC AND RML THOROUGHBREDS LLC

Musical Millie has exited her win last week a little tired, and has shipped back down to Lone Star to prep for her next spot. Newscaster was tired after his first try in the slop as well, as he ran a huge number finishing 5th and doing all the front end running that day. Look to try him back in the same spot on hopefully dry ground.

Mesta Park is entered to run in a state bred Maiden Special Weight at Will Rogers Downs on Monday, May 10th. He's been a handful to get gate trained and all, but appears to have some ability so hope he behaves properly in the lead up to his first race. Entries are HERE.

RED EARTH TRAINING CENTER

Shezapistol is under tack and training daily at Red Earth getting in her early paces. She is joined by three other Cres Ran 2yos (Treaty, Sweet Tea Red and Sinnin N Grinnin). All are doing well.

SPRING HOUSE FARM - LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY

Cres Ran keeps our Kentucky mares, foals and yearlings at Spring House Farm in Lexington Kentucky. This past week, we made the choice to enter our 2020 Runhappy - Sue's Good News Colt and 2020 Munnings - Sue's Sweet Sioux Filly in the Keeneland September sale. We will be watching their progression as we head towards that. The mares and foals are doing well, and the mares that have been bred back are thus far getting in foal.

PARTNERSHIPS ET AL

Rising Empire worked this morning at Churchill for Larry Jones as he preps for a start this month

Strong Light, our two year old with West Point and Albaugh Stables, is with Dale Romans and getting put through his paces.

Again, not a lot of information as this is "moving week", but I'm excited to get Mesta Park a race under his belt and get headed towards our Summer season. Have a great week!
